El Segundo L.A. Sparks Training Complex Progresses Towards 2027 Completion
Steel framing is rapidly taking shape for the Los Angeles Sparks' new $150-million headquarters and training center in El Segundo. This 55,000-square-foot facility, located along Rosecrans Avenue within the Beach Cities Media Campus, marks a significant investment in professional sports infrastructure. Developed by real estate services company Transwestern, the project began construction just four months ago and is slated for completion in 2027.
The complex is designed to be the largest of its kind for a women's professional sports team, featuring two regulation WNBA courts, a circular locker room, a weight room, spa pool, nap rooms, and hydrotherapy suites. Architecture is handled by Gensler, with landscape design by Rios and interiors by Studio Blitz. El Segundo continues to solidify its reputation as a premier training hub for professional sports, already hosting facilities for the NBA's Lakers, NHL's Kings, and the NFL's Chargers. This development underscores the growing demand for specialized, high-quality athletic facilities, presenting opportunities for real estate developers and investors in the sports and entertainment sector.
